A Selfish Giant

Once there was a beautiful garden. A Giant belonged to that garden. The Giant went far away. In the meantime, the children played in that garden. One day, the Giant came back and saw the children playing. He drove them away and then built a wall round the garden. The children could not enter into it. So, they could not play. It was winter. The garden was lifeless with no flowers, birds etc. Then the spring came. The Giant found that in spite of spring his garden remained lifeless. Then, one day hearing the chirping of a bird, he looked through his window and found the children playing in his garden and the garden was full of flowers and birds. He came towards his garden but the children seeing his coming, ran away and the garden became lifeless again. He understood the matter and felt sorry. He let them enter into the garden. The garden became lively again. Since then, the Giant became their friends.
